Documents required

For sending goods using the container block train the following documents are required:

— Signed contract
— Filled-in request (5 days before departure)
— The original manual of filling-in the railway bill, certified by the line agent (container owner). The manual is to be filled after reclaiming the request
— Cargo is to be stroke off the register in the bonded warehouse (carried though the port)
— The copy of bill of entry
— The copy of customs surveyor report
— Confirmation of dangerous goods acceptance (original)

Additional information:

Big port of Saint-Petersburg – largest port in the North-West of Russia. Located in the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland, most areas of the port – on islands and malls in the estuary of the Neva River, separate areas – at the railway station “Bronka”, in the Lomonosov city, and in the harbor of the Litke base in Kotlin Island. The port is open for vessel call round the year.

The area of the surface of the Big port of Saint-Petersburg is about 629.9 sq. km. There are more than 200 berths in the port with the length of the berthing line about 31 km. On the territory of the port, in accordance with the received licenses for the production of cargo handling operations, 25 stevedoring companies are carried out of cargo operations.

Freight turnover of the Big port of Saint-Petersburg for 2016 amounted to 48, 61 million tons.

First container terminal CJSC (Global Ports group) — is the largest container terminal in the Russian Federation, located in the Big port of Saint-Petersburg, which began operations in 1998. The terminal has modern rehandling facilities designed for handling multi-tonnage containers, as well as a unique IT information system with satellite positioning of containers and an electronic document management system.

Multimodal transport and logistics terminal Freight Village Vorsino – it is a large-scale multimodal logistics center of federal importance, providing complex forwarding and service maintenance. Terminal occupies 600 hectares in the territory of the industrial park “Vorsino” along the federal highway M3 Moscow-Kiev, 67 km from Moscow and 20 km from the borders of New Moscow. Freight Village Vorsino – it is a multimodal terminal allows using auto, air and railway transport.

The operator of the Container Block-Train is AVELANA FORWARDING LLC. The company was founded in 2011. The main specialization of the company is the organization of railway services for the forwarding of containers, as a part of container block train from Russian seaports. AVELANA FORWARDING LLC has a regular block train service “Ust-Luga Express”, which runs from2013 on the route port of Ust-Luga — Moscow – port of Ust-Luga with a frequency of 2 times a week.

For commercial operation of the train is responsible TFC AVELANA LOGISTIC LLC, founded in 2007.  The company specializes in the provision of international cargo transportation services (sea, rail, motor, air, and multimodal), import, export, in-port cargo forwarding and custom transit in ports of Saint-Petersburg, Ust-Luga, Novorossiysk, Vladivostok. In 2017, TFC AVELANA LOGISTIC LLC performed over 9000 transportations.
